[Class 24] A device for connecting the operating chain i of an electric switch with a pull cord or the like k comprises a flat slotted plate e adapted to be passed into an open socket a and to receive a link of the chain in its slot f. The plate e is shaped at the top so as to locate itself on a seating in the socket and is then held in place by the spigot b, which carries the cord, being screwed into the socket. The slot f may be centrally disposed, Fig. 4 (not shown), instead of being at the side.
