[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 21, 1936.] [Class 119] The trigger mechanism of an automatic pistol is arranged in a box-like frame 4, which is inserted vertically from 'above into a recess in the stock 1 of the pistol, the side plates of the frame bearing against the inner walls of the recess whereby the parts of the mechanism are held against displacement, and the frame being retained in the recess by the barrel 3 or the breech-block or any part or parts attached to the barrel or breech block. The trigger 14 is pivoted on a pin 16 encircled by the trigger spring 15. The front face of the trigger has a curved part 20 and fits closely into a corresponding slot in the face 11 of the recess, and a projection 18 at the rear of the trigger has a curved face 19 moving close to the rear edge of the recess in the stock; a tight seal is thus obtained. The trigger rod 22 is connected to an upward extension of the trigger by a pivot pin 21.
