[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 21, 1936.] [Class 119] The cock 5 of a pistol is made with an arcuate extension 29 which projects out through a slot in the casing and is provided on its outer end with a cocking lug 30, the extension always closing the slot to prevent entrance of dust or dirt. In an automatic pistol, the slot is bounded at the bottom by a part 32 of the stock and at the top by a part 31 of the breech casing.
