425,027. Smallarm sights. PARKER & CO., Ltd., A. G., and KEELING, E., Bisley Works, Whittall Street, Birmingham. Nov. 30, 1934, No. 34391. [Class 119] The long-range aperture back-sight of a " 1914 " Lee-Enfield rifle is removed and a competition target back-sight is fitted in its place by means of a mount piece 9 having a vertical dovetail slot 12 for the vertical slide 13 and screw 16 of the back-sight 21, and two projections 10, 11, one 11 being adapted to fit in the long-range aperture sight axis hole, and the other 10 adapted to fit in the hole of the projection 1 and being internally screw-threaded to receive the sight axis screw 19. The mount piece is also slotted at 18 to receive the long-range aperture sight spring 5, which together with the ejector 4 is secured by the screw 6. A transverse spring-pressed pin 14 with a gap 15 is fitted in the mount to receive and engage the vertical screw 16.
