Sights.-The foresight a is carried by a bar or like member b pivoted at one end to a mount d formed with a slot d<1> into which the sight can be turned, when not required for use, by inverting the member b as shown in Fig. 5. An auxiliary sight of circular shape may be pivoted to the bar b behind the foresight a and the hub of the bar may be formed with an emergency sight e for use when the sight proper is turned down. A spring f acting on the hub of the bar maintains it in either its operative or inoperative position. As shown, the sight proper a is in the form of an undercut ridge.
