Abstract

208,216. Harkom, J. W. Sept. 12, 1022. Sights.-A backsight comprises a hollow member 14, having apertures 19, 20 at front and back, mounted by pivoted links 16, 17 in such a way that the axial line of the two apertures touches the tip of the foresight in any adjustment of the backsight. A pointer 21 on one of the links cooperates with a scale 24, Fig. 6, on the sight to determine the adjustment. The scale is marked in terms of minutes of elevation. For fine adjustment at short ranges, a setting lever 32 is provided. The setting-lever has a cam 31, Fig. 8, engaging one of the supporting links 16, and its free end engages notches in a scale 32 to form a clicking indicator.
