Abstract

582,271. Gun sights. WEBLEY & SCOTT, Ltd., and SMALLWOOD, H. W. Aug. 17, 1944, No. 15692. [Class 119] A foresight, Fig. 1, or a backsight, Fig. 5, for small arms comprising a transverse dovetail mounting 8b is provided with a transverse slot 8c adapted to be forced open by a grub screw 9 to secure the sight in the gun. The backsight, Fig. 5, is provided with two grub screws 9 one on each side of the notched leaf 12 vertically adjustable by a spring 13 and a nut 14 for variation in the range of the target.
