Abstract

453,705. Lamp reflectors. NIER, R., Beierfeld, Erzgeb, Germany. March 15, 1935, No. 8114. Convention date, Feb. 25. [Class 75 (ii)] The inner surface of a paraboloidal reflector for light projectors, with the exception of the upper quadrant I through the centre of which the vertical axial plane GH of the reflector passes, is provided withdepressions or projections e<3> ... e' to reflect light from the light source transversely to the axis of the reflector. The depressions or projections in the side quadrants II, III may be arranged at random; and those in the lower quadrant IV in concentric arcs. The depressions or projections may be spherical segments, or shaped as shown in Fig. 4, with plane bases or heads f and short walls. The bases or heads f may be arranged at angles alpha, # to the tangential planes 1, 1 of the reflector. Corresponding arrangements of the depressions or projections when they are spherical segments are described.
