Abstract
453,341. Electric ceiling &c. lamps. BOLLOTEN, E. W., 63, Streatham Close, Leigham Court Road, Streatham, London. April 2, 1936, No. 9712. [Class 75 (ii)] In a ceiling or like electric lamp, a cylindrical globe or shade 9, which is open at one end 10, is secured to a holder 1 by means of a parabolic reflector 13, the holder carrying a socket 5 so located that the filament of a bulb 6 is at the focus of the reflector. The shade 9 may be made of frosted glass or like translucent material, its upper end may be formed with a projecting rim 15, whilst its lower end may be channelled as at 16. The reflector 13 may be made of metal and it may be secured to the holder 1 by means of two or more bolts 14. The holder 1 may be made of metal and formed of a number of galleries 2, 3, 4 of different diameters, the gallery 4 of largest diameter having a rolled outer edge 8 and being provided with ventilation holes in its base or periphery. The lamp may be adjustably carried by a spring ling 18 and a clutch 20 on a bracket 21.
