Abstract
450,653. Press - button switches. ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIK SCHMIDT & CO., GES., 620, Teplitzerstrasse, Bodenbach, Czecho Slovakia. Feb. 19, 1936, No. 5080. Convention date, March 1, 1935. [Class 38 (v)] A switch, particularly for electric hand lamps comprises a contact pin 6 carried by a cap 4 which is slidable over a guide socket 2 and can be moved against the action of a spring 7 to cause pin 6 to engage a fixed spring contact. A pin 5 on cap 4 moves in a Z-shaped slot, Fig. 4, in socket 2, and is so arranged that if, in the off position, the cap 4 is turned, the pin 5 assumes the position 8, and the switch is locked off. The cap 4 can be rotated in the opposite direction when in the on position and pin 5 assumes the position 9 and the switch is locked on. A spring tongue, not shown, extending outwardly from socket 2 engages the angles of cap 4, which is of octagonal cross-section, and resiliently holds the cap in its three rotational positions.
