450,557. Heating feedwater ; centrifugal steam separators. HOPKINSONS, Ltd., and BROWN, R. L., Britannia Works, Wheathouse Road, Huddersfield. Feb. 6, 1935, No. 3826. [Class 64 (i)] [See also Group II] A screen over which water gravitates is arranged round one or more centrifugal steam separators so that steam passes in succession through the screen and a separator. Feedwater is supplied to a header i over each screen f enclosing separators a, b in a steam and water drum c. The screens which extend beneath the water level may comprise several rows of baffles, slots, &c., and may include solid, plate-like, portions controlling the direction or area of flow of the steam.
