Abstract

450,025. Lubricating-pumps. TECALEMIT, Ltd., and CHALMERS, R. A., Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex. Jan. 8, 1936, No. 2363/35. [Class 102 (i)] In a lubricating-pump a number of discharge pipes 5, leading to different points to be lubricated, communicate with discharge ports 4 in the pump barrel 1. The ports 4 are arranged on a helical line about the barrel and preferably at equal axial distances apart. The plunger is formed with an axial bore 13, transverse bores 15 and a groove 14, which, during the discharge stroke, registers in succession with the ports 4. The suction valve casing 10 screws into the end of the cylinder. The pump is operated by manual pressure on a knob 25 screwed into a sleeve 20, which slides in a guide 31 secured to the pump body. The suction stroke is effected by a spring 24 and is limited by the engagement of flanges on the sleeve 20 and guide 31. The position of the plunger at the end of suction stroke can be adjusted by means of a stud 27 in the knob 25, the adjustment being correct when the groove 14 is visible through an inspection hole 29. The pump can be clamped to a support by a nut 32.
