449,440. Water-tube water heaters. JUNKERS & CO., GES., 35, Junkersstrasse, Dessau, Anhalt, Germany. Nov. 25, 1935, No. 32624. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1934. [Class 64 (i)] [See also Group XVIII] In a water heater comprising a cold water inlet coil 11 surrounding and in contact with an annular combustion chamber 10 and a main water-heating member 17, only the cold water inlet pipe 15 is lined internally with a material which is an electric insulator and impervious to water to prevent corrosion and condensation of gases from the gas burner 14. The lining 15 extends only so far as the point where the water reaches 40‹ C. and comprises a material known under the Registered Trade Mark " Bakelite " in the condition C. The main heating member 17 has fins 13. The inlet coil 11 and outlet pipe 12 are held in contact with the chamber 10 by mechanical contact, by straps 16, by dipping in molten metal, or by spraying with metal.
