449,055. Radiators for heating vehicles. BARTY, T., and WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO., Ltd., 82, York Road, King's Cross, London. July 22, 1935, No. 20823. [Class 64 (ii)] In a steam heating-apparatus for railway carriages and the like, the body of the heater comprises two tubes 1, with or without gills 6, connected at the ends by headers 2, 3. A condensate drain 4 is provided in the header 2 and an inlet port 5 in the header 3. The inlet valve 14 is actuated bv the difference in expansion between an external rod 7 and the body of the radiator. The radiator is secured to the floor of the carriage by brackets integral with or secured to the headers 2, 3.
