Abstract

345,279. Surface heat-exchange apparatus. HEATHER, F., 38, Greenford Road, Sudbury Hill, Harrow, Middlesex. Sept. 17, 1929, Nos. 28167/29 and 7922/30. [Class 64 (iii).] The baffles described in Specifications 263,558, [Class 7 (ii), Internal-combustion engines, Arrangement &c. of], and 344,407 [Group XXVII], are adapted for use in heat exchangers by insertion in the conduit through which the fluid to be heated flows. The single type of baffle 6 or the double form 7, 8 may be inserted in the flue tubes 3 of a boiler, or they may be used in furnace preheaters, refrigerating apparatus &c.
