Abstract

448,984. Locks. WOODROFFE, J. C., 27, Swift Gardens, St. Giles, Lincoln. Nov. 7, 1935, No. 30781. [Class 44] [See also Group XXXI] A swinging bar G, particularly one adapted to be moved between the spokes of a cycle wheel, is normally locked against movement by a spring J having radiating arms certain of which are offset to engage internal notches in a disc D. The offset arms can be depressed by pegs on a disc key until the arms can move in a plain ring E, and the bar G can then be rotated about a pivot B by the key. An unsuitable key or picking implement may depress the offset arms of the spring J into a second notched ring C or the non-offset arms into engagement with the notched ring D.
