[Class 39 (iii)] An electric heater or boiler for liquids comprises a main vessel a, a liquid inlet c, a tube or tubes d depending from the bottom of vessel a, electric immersion heaters e in these tubes with their upper ends terminating below the inlet c, and circulating tubes g in connection with the vessel a and with the lower part of tubes d. In alternative constructions, one heater tube may be fed by several circulating tubes, or one circulating tube branched at its lower end may supply several heater tubes. Cowls f are provided on tubes d to prevent hot liquid from being shot up to the roof of chamber a. A steam outlet b is provided in the vessel a.
