Abstract
448,196. Variable-speed gearing. REGISTEL, A. D., 34<bis>, Rue de la Tour d'Auvergne, Paris. Jan. 16, 1935, No. 1543. Convention date, Jan. 16, 1934. [Class 80 (ii)] A final sun-wheel 61 is driven by an annulus 60 on a casing 6, secured to the driving shaft 1, and by a planet-carrier 57, variably driven from the shaft 1 through ratchet gearing, including an eccentricallyadjustable intermediate disc 15, and irreversible worm - gearing 43, 45. Reversed drive may be within the range of adjustment, but preferably a bevel planetary reversing-gear 71 is added to the gear. The disc 15 has radial pin-andslot engagement 13, 34, on each side with one or more driving and driven free-wheel clutches 8, 9, 10 and 29, 30, 31 respectively, and and is adjusted to eccentric positions by a control 22. The driven free-wheels 29-31 drive the planet-carrier 57 through a bevelwheel 36, bevel-planets 37, supported in the driving-casing 6, irreversible planetary wormgearing 43, 45, planet-pinions 54 and a sunwheel 56.
