Abstract
447,886. Friction clutches. ORTLING- HAUS SOHNE, O., [Firm of], 77A, Honsbergerstrasse, Remscheid, Germany. Dec. 4, 1935, No. 33602. Convention date, Dec. 12, 1934. [Class 80 (ii)] In a multi-disc clutch, each inner disc a, formed of resilient steel, is slightly dished and is also bent circumferentially, so that, in the disengaged condition of the clutch, the disc a has only point contact with the adjacent outer plane discs b, b'. Alternatively, the inner discs may be plane, the outer discs being dished and bent. The dished disc a shown in Fig. 2, is cylindrically bent, while the dished disc a shown in Fig. 5 is circumferentially undulated.
