Abstract

445,393. Folding boxes. FLACH, P., 2, Weststrasse, Chemnitz, Germany. March 29, 1935, Nos. 9806, 9807, and 9808. Convention dates, March 29, 1934, July 10, 1934, and Nov. 13, 1934. [Class 18] A folding box or lid is made from the blank shown in Fig. 2, panels 9, of which fold inwards on to panels 2, tongues 5 on panels 3 lying between panels 9, 2, and panels 6 being folded on line 6b and adhered or stapled to panel 4, after which panels 4 fold inwards on to panels 3 and are secured thereto so that locking tongues 8 may engage recesses formed by cutout parts 7 which may be semicircles or may be of the form shown. Panels 10 lie on the bottom of the box. The arrangement produces three layers of cardboard at each corner. Alternative forms of blank are shown in Figs. 3 and 4.
