Abstract

465,570. Cardboard boxes. ANDERSSON, N. Oct. 26, 1936, Nos. 29048 and 29049. Convention dates, April 7 and Sept. 11. [Class 18] A collapsable cardboard box for holding knives, forks, spoons, &c. is provided with a collapsable fitting 1 having notches 3 in A- shaped projections 2 for holding the articles in spaced relation, the fitting being held by inserting projections 4 into slits 5 in the foldedover ends of the box extensions 7 of which rest on the box bottom. The fitting may be integral with or separate from the box. In the latter case extensions from the middle of the sides may engage beneath the inner flaps of the box sides. The fitting may also be pasted at its middle part to the bottom. The end walls 6 fold over corner flaps which themselves fold along diagonal lines and are preferably pasted to the ends. The hold-over flaps of the sides are cut away at the ends so that the folded ends lock in the recesses thus formed. The inner flaps of the sides may be pasted at the middle to the outer flaps.
