[Class 131] In an eyelash curler of the type described in Specifications 336,872, [Class 131], and 398,749, the lower jaw 11, Fig. 1, is fitted with a removable holder or cartridge 16, Fig. 3, provided with the known yieldable or rubber strips 12 which engage the upper jaw. The member 16 preferably has flanges 16<1> to assist the fingers in removing it from the channel 11. In a modification, Fig. 7, a modified form of lower jaw 33 is shown which is not connected to arms 17, as in Fig. 5. A similar form of cartridge 34, Fig. 11, is used except that projecting strips 35 extend from the rear wall. These strips can be curled round the bars 17 to form guiding sleeves. To afford rigidity in both constructions, the curler is provided with a piece of wire doubled on itself to form a lower arm 13, Fig. 1, with a finger loop 14, 31. The upper arm consists of side bars 15, Fig. 5, and parallel parts 17 carrying a cross-piece 10 and acting as guides to the lower jaw at 19. The lower jaw is operated by a lever, preferably made from single wire doubled on itself to comprise two longitudinal parts 20 with a finger loop 21-32 and two upper bars 22. The upper and lower arms form an elbow lever pivoted by a rivet 23 to the corresponding lever arms 13. The link 26, Fig. 1, connecting the jaw 11 with the operating lever 20 is preferably made of a single wire doubled on itself and passing through an opening 28 in the lever ends.
