Abstract
443,874. Cables. JORDAN, K., 8, M³nchener Strasse, Berlin. July 10, 1935, No. 19746. Convention date, July 10, 1934. Addition to 399,066. [Class 36] To prevent damage to the outer layers of insulation in an impregnated paper insulated cable having a corrugated aluminium sheath of the kind described in the parent Specification, a layer of compressible material which has been rendered conductive is arranged between the insulation and the sheath. The layer may consist of a fabric of paper strings, or linen or silk threads and may be rendered conductive by impregnation with a suspension of aluminium powder in varnish, or by wrapping the individual strings or threads of the fabric with fine aluminium strip.
