Abstract
443,295. Photographic reversal processes, GROVES, W. W., 30, Southampton Buildings, Chancery Lane, London.-(I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges. ; Frankfort-on-Main, Germany) Aug. 25, 1934, No. 24540. [Class 98 (ii)] In a photographic reversal process all the treating baths are used at a temperature of from 30-70‹ C., so that little or no blackening due to fog is produced. The temperature of the baths may be 40‹ C. The first developer may contain potassium thiocyanate. The reversing bath may comprise potassium dichromate and sulphuric acid, and may be followed by a clearing bath containing sodium sulphite. The process may be applied for the rapid development of television intermediate films and of sound records, particularly those of the variable-area type.
