Abstract
261,201. Taeschner, K. E. Dec. 7, 1925. Reducing intensity.-To effect reduction without destroying delicate half tones, negatives or prints are treated in a reducing bath containing iodine and potassium iodide, and either simultaneously or previously with a hardening agent of bichromate of potash or a bichromate or chromate of any other alkali, Sugar may also be added and the substances may be brought into solution in the form of an intimately triturated powdermixture. An acid fixing bath is used. Specific examples of baths are given.
