Abstract
442,988. Door holders. SCHWENDENER, H., Buchs, St. Gall, Switzerland. April 29, 1935, No. 12707. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 31, 1935.] [Class 65 (i)] A holder for doors and the like comprises a fixing member 2 carrying a hinged plate 4 provided with inclined faces 6 to engage yieldingly a hole in a member 13, the plate 4 being pressed to the engaging position by a spring 10 or, in a modification, by weight. A lower projecting part of the member 2 acts as a stop. A screw 8 passing freely through the plate 4 and threaded into the member 2 limits the movement of the plate 4. The spring shown may be replaced by a spring of any other suitable form, or by a spring at the hinge of the plate 4 ; the device is inverted if a weight is to be used in place of a spring.
