440,824. Screw fans. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and CRANSTON, W. M., c /o General Electric Co., Ltd., Witton, Birmingham. July 31, 1934, No. 22332. [Class 110 (i)] [See also Group XXXV] A fan unit comprises a pivotally mounted motor casing 2 into which the stator core, clamped between members 12 carrying the bearings 13, can be inserted without dismantling the mounting. The casing is mounted on one diameter in a gimbal ring 3 which is secured along a second diameter at right angles to the first by bolts 8. A guard 23 carries a spindle 26 on which the hub of the blades is slid when the motor is to be removed. The motor is secured to the lower part of the casing by a screw 16 and the upper part of the casing is secured to the motor by a screw 18.
