[Class 44] A hose and like suspender grip designed to lie snugly without protruding comprises a plate 1 of celluloid or other material, curved to conform to the limb of the wearer, suspended by strap 2<a> from a garment, and provided with a substantially triangular boss 3 with grooved side edges. The hose &c. is laid over the boss and retained by a keeper plate 6 with a triangular aperture 7 slightly larger than boss 3, the keeper being connected to plate 1 by a band 10 of elastic secured at one end 11 to plate 1, the other end passing through an elongated slot 5 in plate 1 and connected at 12 to the plate 6. The arrangement is such that the band 10 has to be tensioned to register aperture 7 with boss 3, over which it is placed, the band 10 then serving to pull the keeper endwise into gripping position, the edges of the aperture co-operating with the grooved edges of the boss to grip the hose. In a modification, Figs. 7, 8, the keeper is in the form of a plate 13 overlying the boss and provided with rearward inturned flanges 16 adapted to slide into co-operation with the grooved edges of the boss, under tension of the band 10. A modification is described in which the keeper plate has an open-ended V-slot, and a further modification in which the keeper plate is suspended from the garment, and the boss-member is movable, the apices of the triangular boss and keeper aperture being directed downwardly.
