439,533. Electrolytic condensers. DUBILIER CONDENSER CO. (1925), Ltd., Victoria Road, North Acton, London.- (Assignees of Gray, D. E. ; 41, St. John Avenue, Yonkers, New York, U.S.A.) Nov. 16, 1934, No. 33027. Convention date, July 6. [Class 37] The anhydride of a weak acid is mixed cold with a polyhydroxyl alcohol and an alkali metal oxide or hydroxide, or ammonia or ammonium hydroxide, so as to produce a sticky paste-like solution for impregnation into an electrolytic condenser. In a modification the anhydride of the weak acid is mixed with a nitrogenated polyhydroxyl alcohol such as tri- or di-ethanolamine. A filler such as gum tragacanth may be added to the cold solution. A condenser impregnated with the cold electrolyte may be subsequently heated as by passing an alternating electric current therethrough. Specification 439,530 is referred to.
