416,049. Electrolytic condensers. PITT, A. T., 17, Werter Road, Putney, and DUBILIER CONDENSER CO. (1925), Ltd., Victoria Road, North Acton, both in London. March 1, 1933, No. 6306. Drawings to Specification. [Class 37.] An electrolyte of the glycerol- or glycolborate type is rendered hard when cold by the addition of urea or a chemically similar material or aniline, so as to make it suitable for use as the casing of the condenser or to have a casing moulded directly round it. A suitable mixture contains urea, boric acid, ammonia solution and glycerine ; aniline or potassium hydroxide may replace the ammonia solution, while in a further example boric acid glycerine and aniline are used. Proportions of the various mixtures are given in the Specification.
