[Class 38 (ii)] [See also Group XXXVI] A wound condenser with spaced metallic layers for voltage control suitable for use as a cable-end terminal or lead-in, is made by inserting, in the windings 2 of an insulating strip, metal layers 4 each of which, at the point where its starting and finishing ends overlap, is short-circuited upon itself by allowing the ends themselves to come into contact through openings in the separating insulating strip.
