Abstract
439,042. Cooking-ovens. LEVER, E. F., 15, Church Street, and ROBERTS, A. R. W., Collingwood, Penn Grove Road, both in Hereford. May 28, 1934, No. 15770. [Class 126] An open-fronted casing a with a front flange f, for insertion into a gas oven so as to form an inner externally-heated oven, is provided with a transparent door or doors e for giving access to the burners n and for enabling the flames to be inspected. The door may be of fire - resisting glass, or may comprise a panel of such glass or of mica, and in the construction shown is slidably mounted at the back of the casing. Resilient spacing devices, such as leaf springs d may be arranged between the inner and outer casings to allow for expansion and contraction due to the temperature changes. The open front of the casing a may be provided with a glazed door secured to the flange f. A ventilator h at the front of the floor of the oven allows fumes to pass out to the flue.
