Abstract
438,815. Hinges. PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd., Cowley, and BILLINGTON, J. R., 45, Bulan Road, Headington, both in Oxford. July 20, 1934, No. 21245. [Class 65 (ii)] [See also Group X] A vehicle window 11 is mounted in the window opening by a pair of links 13, 14, of the parallel motion type, at least one of the links being adustable in length to vary the setting of the opened window. In the construction shown the links are pivoted to the lower edge of the window and to the lower rail of a frame 12 which is built into the window opening of the vehicle door. The effective length of the link 13 is adjustable, the link having a slot 16 and a screwed pin connection 17 with the frame. The screwed pin clamps the link when adjusted and the window is held rigidly in the set position by an upper auxiliary link 22 disposed above the link 14.
