438,770. Aeroplane landing gear. ELEKTRONMETALL GES., 26, Pragstrasse, Cannstatt, Stuttgart, Germany. March 19, 1935, No. 8535. Convention date, June 29, 1934. [Class 4] An aeroplane undercarriage, Figs. 1 and 2, comprises a rigid single supporting member 1 carrying a rockable intermediate lever 3 which provides a mounting for wheel axle 4 and which is also pivotally connected to compression strut 6 of springing member 7, and a wheel brake of which the brake plate 8 is directly or indirectly secured to lever 3 by a rivet or like connection. Pivot 2 of rocking lever 3 may be hollow and be adapted to receive a tube 9 serving as a jacking pad. All the members are substantially co-planar and strut 1 may be substantially outwardly inclined as shown in Fig. 2. In a modification lever 3 may be integral with the brake plate 8.
