[Class 99 (i)] [See also Group XI] The cold water supply pipe of an electric water-heater is provided with a heat insulating joint. This may consist of a diaphragm T secured in an enlarged portion of one section of the supply by a screwed collar 17. The other part of the pipe is secured to the diaphragm by nuts and washers 18. In another construction a piece of heat insulating tubing is secured by collars around short tubular end pieces which are jointed to the ends of the divided supply pipe.
