533,388. Heating water by electricity. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., HARVEY, R., and SARSON, A. E. Oct. 19, 1939, No. 28236. [Class 39 (iii)] The upper end of a circulation tube 6 around the heating element 2 terminates above the point at which the water level in the heater is maintained by the syphon cap 5 on the discharge pipe 4 the water level rising above the discharge tube upon expansion in order to increase the circulation through the tube and to provide a small supply of hot water after a short heating period.
