Abstract

[Class 64 (i).] An electrically or gas-heated water heater comprises a closed heat-insulated container 1, Fig. 1, with a double-walled circulation tube 2 having openings for inflow of hot water just above the bottom of the container, and a water supply tank 16 supported on the container and connected therewith by a cold-water down-flow pipe 4 and a hot-water outlet pipe 8. The electrical heating element 3 projects into the bottom of the circulation tube. When the heater is heated by a burner the bottom 6 of the circulation tube is flared and the central part of the bottom of the container is formed of good heat-conducting material. The double walls around the circulation tube may form a vacuum jacket.
