[Class 26.] In order to raise the temperature of the bathroom a bath which is composed of a single shell is provided with heat-radiating panels separated from the walls of the bath so as to form an air-jacket surrounding or partially surrounding the bath, heating means in the form of pipes or waterways being provided so as to raise the temperature of the circulating air. In one form, Fig. 1, panels 12 are provided on the ends, bottom and both sides of the bath, together with an inlet 14 and an outlet 15 for the circulating air, and a U-shaped tubular member 13 in circuit with a central heating installation, the usual hot-water supply, or a separate heater. A thermostat 16 and one or more hollow rails 18 may also be provided. In another form, one such panel which may enclose one of both ends of the bath may be provided ; the heating element is in the form of pipes on the side of the bath which may be integral with the bath or shaped so as to follow closely the walls thereof. In a further form, Fig. 5, the bath 40 may be disposed upon a hot-water tank 41 which is supplied from a rank 45 and is provided with a heater 42, a thermostat 44 and a draw-off tap 46. Radiating panels 47 on one or both sides of the bath communicate with the tank through pipes 48, 49 to the former of which the tap 46 may be connected. In another form, Fig. 9, one or more panels 62 of thin units are each provided with an inlet 64 and an outlet 65 for hot water. In each form a hot water tap may be supplied from the heating pipe whilst a hot-rail may be provided on one or more sides or ends of the panels. According to the Provisional Specification, the conduits for the heating liquid may be arranged in the walls &c. of the bath, a mixing chamber may be provided at the inlet to the water-ways, and a water boiler may be arranged adjoining the bath or as part of the bath casing, in which case hot water may circulate inside the jacket. Steam or gas may circulate through the heating conduits or the air within the jacket may be heated electrically.
