Abstract
438,266. Rolling. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. June 12, 1935, No. 16976. Convention date, Aug. 2, 1934. [Class 83 (iv)] A pair of laterally and vertically displaceable tilting arms 1, 2 carrying one trough-shaped roller or a pair of conical rollers 5, 6, the arms 1 and 2 being raised to engage a billet as in Fig. 2 to tilt it through 90‹ on the roller bed 4 while the conical rollers are used to engage a billet as in Fig. 6 and tilt it through 45‹ as in Fig. 7. Each roller has a pair of cylindrical surfaces 8 or 10, either of which can be used to engage and tilt a corner of the billet, and are otherwise shaped with rounded point which may have an angle of 120‹ to hold a rhombic section symmetrically vertical.
