Abstract

1,225,641. Rolling mills. MORGARDSHAMMAR A.B. 24 June, 1968 [22 June, 1967], No. 30038/68. Heading B3M. A continuous rolling mill includes stands which can be individually pivoted about both vertical and horizontal axes. A wave-like rolling path (Fig. 2 in plan) or other desired path can readily be obtained, repeaters 15 and 25 being positioned between the stands, if desired. Each stand is pivotable about a vertical axis 41, and also about a horizontal one 11 (Fig. 4, in elevation). The stand is supported by a frame 42 in a housing 47 located in a foundation 48. The driving and adjusting arrangements for each stand are accommodated in a body 9 which pivots with the stand. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification, 1,041,634.
