436,313. Signal-apparatus for railway points. SAMS, J. G. B., Westleys, Wimbish, Saffron Walden, Essex. May 10, 1934, No. 14079. [Class 104 (i)] Signal apparatus for indicating the position of railway points comprises a base a supporting a lamp f and a pivoted arm b provided with three coloured eyes c, d, e, and, if desired, a semaphore b<1>. The lower end of the lever carries a pin i engaging with lost motion a slot in an arm h<1> carried by a horizontal-bar h coupled to the points. If the points are not properly set, the slot does not move the pin i, and the arm b remains vertical, indicating the condition of the points. The arm b is kept vertical by a weight k mounted on its spindle. An extension g of the weight arm may carry three coloured eyes at the back of the lamp.
