[Class 88 (ii)] In a miniature piano, in which keys 1 operate the action 6 through struts 2 and levers 5, the struts have an adjustable connection 10 with the levers and can also pivot relative thereto in soft felt bushings 9. The action is located in front of the soundboard 14, with the hammers 12 striking rearwardly, thereby permitting the use of a high soundboard and long bass strings. The adjusting nut 10 may be of soft leather and rests on a felt pad in the lever 5. To accommodate the difference in pitch between the strings and the keys, the levers 5 diverge rearwardly.
