433,813. Vehicle fittings for loading &c. CARY, C. E., Red Bank Spring & Axle Works, Red Bank, NUTTALL, J. T., 636, Moston Lane, New Moston, and STUBBS, A., 20, Goodman Street, Blackley, all in Manchester. May 9, 1934, No. 13961. [Class 78 (iv)] [See also Groups XXXII and XXV] In cattle trucks and the like the spring device for safeguarding the lowering and facilitating the raising of the ramp or rear door comprises a laminated spring. A shaped laminated spring a is secured to the body by angle plates b having bolts b<1> engaging a plate b<5> to which the spring is secured by bolt b<3>. The free end of the spring presses against the outer face of the door or ramp T<1>. The spring is provided with a short leaf a<1> which is connected to the longer leaves by a stirrup d which permits a limited amount of freedom. A clip c is provided and a wearing strip or channel e is provided on the door face.
