Abstract

433,615. Magnetic separators. ELECTROMAGNETS, Ltd., and BOX, W. E., 2, Church Street, Colmore Row, Birmingham. Feb. 9, 1934, No. 4287. [Class 72] Supported above electromagnets 8 mounted on a base plate 7 secured to a frame 4 which is pivoted at its upper end to standards 5 and bolted at 'its lower end to standards 6, in any one of these positions is a trough 9 provided with transversely arranged armatures 10 which co-operate with the polepieces 11 of the magnets 8. The trough 9 is oscillated transversely by eccentrics mounted on a shaft 15 and connected at one end to rods 14, the other ends of which are pivotally connected to bars 12 carried by bearings 13 on the plate 7. The trough 9 is provided with brackets 9<a> having holes through which passes the rods 12.
