Abstract

437,897. Magnetic separators. ELECTROMAGNETS, Ltd., and BOX, W. E., 2, Church Street, Colmore Row, Birming- ham. May 12, 1934, No. 14384. [Class 72] In a magnetic separator of the trough or tray type, induction bars 7, preferably of a distorted S -shape are hingedly mounted on transverse bolts 6 secured to the sides of the frame and are adjusted with respect to the poles 5 of electromagnets A by the engagement with the poles of bolts 8 which are threaded through holes in the bars and are locked in position by nuts 9. The bars 7 are provided at their upper ends with lugs 7<a> having slots 7b therein flats 6<a> being provided on the bolts 6 at a distance apart equal to the width of the slot 7b. The underside of the bars 7 may be serrated. Specification 433,458 is referred to.
