Abstract

453,568. Loose-leaf binders. CROSS, R., 183, Pitt Street, Glasgow. April 7, 1936, No. 10216. Addition to 438,677. [Class 146 (i)] In the loose-leaf binder described in the parent Specification, the jacket-forming flaps 1 are provided with distance pieces 6 which space the ends of the flaps nearest the hinges from the surface on which the binder sets, so as to maintain the laces 3 out of contact with the surface. The distance pieces may be rows of protuberances on the flaps near the spine-edges of the flaps, and may take the form of eyelets reinforcing the holes 7 through which the immobile ends of the laces 3 are threaded, the eyelets being of greater depth than those reinforcing the holes 4 through which the laces move. The depth of the eyelets 6 may be increased by washers.
