Abstract
433,034. Jet pulverizers. ANGER, P., 59a, Beseler Allee, Kiel, Germany. April 27, 1935, No. 12680. [Class 59] In a jet pulverizer in which material is fed to the bottom of a funnel-shaped vessel where it is blown by an air jet through a mixing tube onto an impact member, the discharge of the pulverized material takes place principally at the sides of the pulverizer. As shown in Fig. 2 material fed in at f is carried by the jet issuing from the nozzle c through the mixing tube d onto the impact plate e where it is crushed, the coarse material falling back to the jet and the fine material being discharged through lateral outlets i. The valve p in the cover regulates the fineness of the crushed material. The outlets may be circular and vanes may deflect the material to the sides. In Fig. 4 the crushed material passes over conical members m, n arranged at different levels whereby a classifying action is obtained. In Fig. 6, an adjustable sieve q regulates the fineness of the material, the sieve may be placed below the block e which may also be adjustable in height.
