Abstract
416,521. Impact pulverizers; disc mills. BRITISH REMA MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and HOWDEN, P., Highroad Well, Halifax, Yorkshire. May 3, 1933, No. 12857. [Class 59.] In a rotary grinding and sifting machine, the sifting or classifying chamber is formed with openings adapted to be closed by weighted or spring loaded flaps located at or near the delivery side of the grinding elements or alternatively at or near the suction side of the grinding elements for the return of rejected material to the grinding chamber. As shown the beaters E are supplied with raw material carried by an air blast through pipes M or K or both, the amount supplied above or below the beaters being regulated by a valve k in the pipe K. The ground material is carried by the blast set up by the beaters through an annular chamber B<1> and adjustable outlets F to an outlet pipe J, the coarse material separated out falling down a conical hood L to pivoted flaps H which open with the pressure of material and discharge the same to the outside of the beaters. In a modification the flaps are arranged to discharge the material to the inside of the boaters. Specification 386,698 is referred to.
