raum kreisenden Mahlgutstrom ergeben.

Beater Mill
The invention relates to a beater mill operated with air sifting and return of the semolina, as used in particular for the grinding of coal to pulverized coal and for supplying the pulverized coal furnaces of steam boilers with pulverized coal, in which a baffle plate connected to the milling chamber Guide shaft for the grinding material-conveying wind mixture and a deflection for the mixture downstream of the baffle plate are provided in the area of a sifter that guides the semolina back into the grinding chamber.
In these mills, it was already common practice to direct the mixture of grist and conveying wind against a wall, which caused the grist to collide and thus destroyed its flow energy, so that the conveying wind could no longer remove the coarse grist from the grinding system. However, the known mills could not meet the requirements placed on them when they were to process raw lignite containing woody parts. The woody parts circled through the grinding room and viewing room, piled up more and more and finally completely hindered the outflow of coal dust from the mill.
According to the invention, this inconvenience is remedied in that there is a pivotable guide wall in the mixture flow between the guide shaft mouth and the baffle plate, which is connected to an interlocking through which it can be adjusted transversely to the direction of flow of the mixture at time intervals or depending on certain operating parameters this leads directly into the classifier.
The pieces of wood exposed during the grinding of the coal are only collected up to a certain amount in the grinding system and this amount is then ejected for a short time so that the grinding system can work again under the best conditions.
According to the invention, the guide wall can either be more or less inclined to deflect the mixture from its usual flow path or, if placed parallel to the housing wall, open up the mixture to its usual flow path.
According to a further feature of the invention, the baffle is automatically brought to act on the mixture flow, which can be done for example with the help of a clockwork. According to the invention, the baffle is arranged below the baffle and coupled to a lever system in such a way that it either deflects the mixture more or less inclined from its usual flow path or, if placed parallel to it, releases the mixture its usual flow path.
Finally, according to the invention, the baffle is automatically brought to act on the mixed flow, which can be accomplished, for example, with the aid of a clock winder. According to the invention, a change in the temperature prevailing in the classifier or in the subsequent lines is used to control the baffle, which results in the case of grinding drying because, with increasing enrichment of the grinding or classifying space with circling wooden parts, the ventilation capacity of the beater wheel due to the lack of drying gases the temperature of the grist-conveying wind mixture falls.
The pieces of wood temporarily blown out of the mill can be burned in a known manner in the pulverized coal furnace on a burn-out grate. Furthermore it is with the help of flaps, valves and
EMI1.1

or to interrupt consumer points and during this interruption time the wooden parts into a storage container or the like.
The invention is not to be applied to pulverized coal combustion or to the grinding of

room circulating grist flow.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in one embodiment. The figure shows a vertical, u. between cross-section through a beater mill running transversely to the mill axis.
In this mill, the beater wheel provided with beater plates 3 between a full wheel disk 1 and an annular disk 2 of the same size connected to it revolves on a shaft in the housing 4 which protrudes through the rear wall of the mill housing.
A channel 5, which leads to the air separator 6, connects to the upright mill housing. Grist and conveying wind, which can consist of cold or hot air or flue gases or a mixture of these, are fed to the beater wheel from the front through the ring 2, after which the beater 3 crushes the incoming grist and, due to their ventilation effect, the grist and the conveying wind Drive into channel 5 and classifier 6. The mixture strikes the baffle 7 and is directed into the classifier, if necessary with the aid of a flap 8.
Here the not yet sufficiently comminuted ground material falls out, which return through a chute 9 into the beater, whereas the conveying wind escapes from the sifter through the outlet 10 and thereby the sufficiently ground material with it, for example through lines up to a pulverized coal furnace or other use -or warehouse leads. The ground material essentially follows the path indicated by the dashed arrow line in the figure.
In the channel 5 a flap 11 is arranged, which can be adjusted with the help of a lever mechanism 12 - as shown - so that the mixture leaving the mill housing is as short as possible - indicated by closed lines in the figure - paths to the outlet 10 flows and as a result of its smooth path leads coarser or different types of regrind parts to the consumer point than in normal operation. With the help of an automatic system, it is possible to control the lever mechanism 12 in such a way that the flap 11 is placed in the position drawn in which deflects the mixture flow only at intervals, while the rest of the time is placed parallel to the mixture flow.
The impulse for adjusting the flap 11 can be taken from a timer or from an anemometer or - in the case of grinding-drying operation - from a sensor that responds to changes in the temperature in the windsifter or the temperature in the grist lines downstream of the windsifter.
