Abstract
A non-magnetic stainless steel for the valve, valve seat, and liner of an electrically operated valve particularly for corrosive fluids comprises an austenitic steel known as "Anka" stainless steel containing 15-16 per cent of chromium, 10-11 per cent of nickel, and 0,15-0,2 per cent of carbon; a magnetic stainless steel for the valve plunger, which moves inside the liner which is surrounded by a solenoid, contains 0,12-0,17 per cent of carbon, 12,5-14,5 per cent of chromium, and not more than 0,5 per cent of silicon.
